The trek down to Dark Hollow Falls is not technically challenging, and it is not far from the road. Every step of the way takes you further down into the dense forest of Shenandoah National Park and further away from the trappings of everyday life. The main falls are beautiful, but when you venture below the main falls, an enchanting alcove appears and takes your breath away.
