The Boathouse - Maligne Lake, Jasper National Park

The Curly Phillips Boathouse is know around the world. It dates back to 1928 and is at the starting point for kayak and rowboat excursions down Maligne Lake. This is the largest lake in Jasper National Park. It is 14 miles long and is 300ft at its deepest point. The average depth is 115ft and is famous for its azur color due to the glacier fed waters. There are three glaciers visible from the lake and a spectacular mountain range on the southern end.
