It was like stepping into an alien world with 100ft sandstone walls that curved and folded over each other. They looked like great stone curtains frozen in time as they blew in the wind. The light from small slits in the top cast ghostly light that changed in hue as it reached further down. At this one spot I aimed my camera almost straight up to take this photograph. It was not until I looked at the shot on the back of the camera did I notice the magnificent heart shaped design carved by water over millions of years. It was right there, but somehow invisible. It was hidden in plain sight directly above when walking through this slot canyon. Stepping two feet in either direction makes this heart shaped design vanish. This magical golden heart surrounded by red rock was shining down on the unsuspecting visitors.
