Guardian of the Shore - Rodeo Beach, Marin County, CA
The western coast of the United States is littered with sea stacks. At almost any beach you can spot at least one or two. Rodeo Beach, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco is a fairly small beach with a great vista. In the background is Bird Island. It’s easy to see why it is named that. On this particular visit there were no clouds, but the sky began to glow and reflect in the ocean as is washed across the dark and rich sand.
