When I was standing at this spot and looking through the viewfinder, I thought of several names for this photograph. Obviously, the stairs factored into the names, but that seemed to obvious to consider. As I stood there, watching the early morning fog shift the light, my mind began to wander. I though of so many different things that had little to do with the scene in front of me. The sound of the water, the cool mist on my cheeks, the stairs to my left and the gentle glow from above and through the leaves took me away. Alas, I left with no name in mind.
As I looked at the shots from the morning on my computer screen many months later, I paused and thought about that morning moment and realized I did have a name for this photograph. It was just right. It perfectly described my time standing there as opposed to just being descriptive of the place.
