When you look out over something as amazing as this as the very first light touches the mountain peaks, you can’t help but stand there silently and absorb the magnificence of God’s creation. It is almost beyond comprehension how the earth can heave and move to form these colossal ridges. They happen quickly in geological time, yet unimaginably slow in human time. I consciously decided to clear my mind of these thoughts and just look out over this valley and just be still as I took in the peaceful morning that was awakening.
