Spirit Island in the Canadian Rockies is one of those magical locations that doesn’t seem real even as you stand there gazing out across the scene. It is without a doubt the most incredible place I have ever experienced – it is absolutely magical. It is considered a sacred place to the Stoney Nakoda First Nation. It is hidden in plain sight. As you round the bend by boat (the only way to get there), it is virtually invisible even as you look right at it. As you get closer, it presents itself and you wonder how you couldn’t see it before. Looking back from the adjoining land, it is mesmerizing.
