The Rush - Cortlandt, NY
Two cascades combining into one final twenty foot falls before the long journey down river. Looking through the lens at 7 a.m. on that cold overcast morning I envisioned something more that just a beautiful waterfall. I saw the essence of our daily lives that Monday morning in the waterfall and determined river. That moment I was shielded from the sounds of the nearby cars beginning the day’s rush hour. Their voice was obscured by the constant roar of the rushing water. That one-way journey downriver perfectly matched the rush of cars headed toward the city. The difference was that this rush was peaceful, magical… soul enriching.
