Awaken
It was early February and the coldest night of the winter season and I thought it was a smart idea to head out at 4a.m. to watch the sunrise over the Chesapeake Bay. This morning did not disappoint. It was worth the brutal cold and frozen fingers. As soon as I knew I had the shot, I raced to the car and headed home.
I’ve printed two photographs from this exhilarating morning. They are very similar, but each has its own character. The other one, Morning at Romancoke, is a little more subdued and relaxing, while this one shows off the fire of the morning sky. This one shines on the acrylic mounting and takes you away.
